OCO
The OCO kitchen is conceived as a form that allows Grigio Billiemi marble to take precedence. Its minimalist and rigorous geometry creates a quiet framework in which the material can fully express itself — revealing countless tonal variations of grey, interwoven with the warm mineral fragments that define its character.
Applied to blocks that are always unique, the established OCO design demonstrates that innovation does not rely solely on new forms or functional solutions. It also lies in the careful rediscovery of materials, and in the discipline required to use them with clarity and restraint.
The island's strict geometry places human intervention in dialogue with a natural element: stone. Veining flows uninterrupted across planes, doors, and subtle shifts in level, softening the precision of the form and drawing attention to the inherent unpredictability of the material.
Worked only to the extent necessary, the marble is neither concealed nor over-refined. It is accepted as nature presents it, its singularity preserved rather than corrected.
The result is a fully functional monolith — an architectural object that remains deeply connected to the raw stone from which it originates.
