Who we are
Valforma Studio, Dublin 12, Ireland is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. You can reach us about anything in this policy at studio@valforma.ie.
What we collect
This website exists to present our work. The only personal data it collects is what you choose to give us through the enquiry form: your name, your email address, the nature of your project and the message you write. We do not run advertising, profiling or marketing analytics on this site.
Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and reliability purposes.
Why we collect it
We use the details you submit solely to respond to your enquiry and to carry on the conversation you started with us. The legal basis for this is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and, where the conversation leads to a project, the steps necessary to enter into a contract with you.
We do not add you to mailing lists, and we do not sell or share your details with third parties for their own purposes.
Where your data goes
Enquiries are delivered to our studio email and handled by the people who need to see them. The website itself is hosted by a cloud hosting provider, and email is handled by our email provider; both act as processors on our behalf.
The contact page includes an embedded Google Map. Loading the map involves Google, whose own privacy policy applies to any data it processes. The rest of the site loads no third-party trackers.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as the conversation, or any project that follows from it, remains active, and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records. If you would like your correspondence deleted sooner, ask and we will remove it.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, email studio@valforma.ie.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission, Ireland's supervisory authority, at dataprotection.ie.
Changes to this policy
If the way this website handles personal data changes, for example if we add analytics or a newsletter, we will update this page before those changes take effect.
